The newest female in our programme Summit Bara U29 continues to excel. This heifer had an exceptional showing at the Canberra Royal Show:
Junior Champion Heifer
Grand Champion Female
Supreme Angus Exhibit
Now at the Sydney Royal Easter show up against the best Angus heifers in the country WON again with 2nd Prize in her class.
This was our first time being involved with the Show as an exhibitor and it was a real thrill. Our thanks to the professional teams at Murribrook ET and Recipient Services, Ashgrove Angus and Summit Livestock. We would never have been able to have a crack at this without all of those people involved.
It's wonderful to see an industry where there are still people willing to assist others, share hard earned experience and impart knowledge and skills gathered over a lifetime. It's so refreshing. Similarly, seeing all the young people involved and maintaining interest in agriculture is brilliant.
The hard work and commitment is not only character building for them but inspiring to everyone around them. Summit Bara U29 will go into our programme to be flushed shortly and soon eggs/embryos will be available for sale for this very structural correct heifer that really does present as a perfect package - she will no doubt be of great benefit to our own herd improvement but also to anybody that invests in her. The judges comments in the ring say it all!
